Technologies that work
Many long-acting injectable technologies have inconsistent particle sizing in the medication. This can cause unsteady drug concentration levels in the plasma, pain during administration (due to the use of larger needles), as well as swelling and pain at the injection site after administration. It also limits the potential uses of these long-acting injectables to be used as local delivery systems.
Nanomi’s long-acting injectable platforms enable the production of medicines with improved injectability, opening up treatment possibilities for patients and development opportunities for partners. Our controlled particle sizes ensure the release of steady drug concentration levels and allow for the use of smaller needles to reduce pain and discomfort. Importantly for patients, reduced injection frequency along with reduced pain and discomfort enhances convenience. This may lead to greater compliance and potentially better treatment outcomes.
